I see photography as instant gratification painting. I can instantly switch from merely looking at a scene to seeing it in terms of composition, color and lighting. What would this look like as a painting…but I want it NOW!!
Digital cameras make it possible to spontaneously shoot a limitless number of images. But I find that part of the fun of shooting on the go is the spontaneity, which places a certain kind of odds on getting the perfect shot.
