I’ve been a cyclist for over 25 years, and living on an island you tend to ride in circles. While there’s not much room an a bike to carry much, I always have a camera with me. You see things on a bike that you’d never see in a car. This is one of my favorite views and I always have to stop to take a long look. It’s pretty far from my house so I don’t get to see it that often.
The view is over Kaneohe Bay on the island of Oahu. In the distance are the Ko’olau mountains descending into the ocean with Chinamans Hat just off shore.
The deep, rich colors are not from any kind of photo manipulation; the unique light we get all year long tends to make colors pop and change all day long.
