This statue is in the garden area of a friend who lives in Northern California. His 10 acre property was primarily occupied by a lavender farm with art and sculpture scattered throughout the area surrounding the house.
While very spiritual, I’m not very religious. However, I’ve always been drawn to the art that is such an integral part of the iconography and practice of many different religions.
I found the countenance of this statue particularly moving and love having her looking over me in prints locating in both my office and my home.
