This is a portrait of my first partner, Mike. We both loved to travel and I, particularly, loved to go to art museums. In the 4 1/2 years we were together before his death we went to Europe 9 times. We would travel the world in search of art and this image is based on our mutual favorite, a Picasso painting called “Nu Coche”, which I have been blessed to see in person several times.
