I love painting in oils because of the meticulous imagery that can be achieved through blending and detail.
This image of kiwis is enhanced by the application of clear glitter, which makes the juices and dewiness of the fruit look very realistic.
The painting was inspired by my travels through New Zealand…I’d had kiwi before but they never tasted as good as the ones I keep as a staple of my traveling diet (apples, too).
