After an extended dark period in my life I took a 6-week trip to New Zealand to heal, with no agenda or time frame (we call it going holoholo here in Hawaii). It was my “get-my-mojo-back” tour. I had many truly memorable experiences, some with people I’d meet along the way and some that were special because of their solitude. This painting is of a spot I sat at for several hours eating a light lunch, drawing, and enjoying the beautiful colors and peacefulness.
