Abstract #3 is part of a numbered abstract series that was created spontaneously, with no preconceived notion as to where it’s going or what I’m doing.
Part of my artistic journey is to discover ways to break free of the rigors involved with painting realistically. Giving up control is difficult for me, but I feel that if I can master how to paint from a perspective of “what feels good” as opposed to one of “what is right” will help me grow as an artist.
